We are delighted to welcome our guests to Figline Valdarno, which is located in the heart of the Tuscan valley, situated midway between Florence, Arezzo, and Siena. This is one of our favorite places in the world and we hope our guests will enjoy spending a weekend there celebrating with us!

For guests who would like to explore everything Tuscany has to offer we recommend renting a car, although, given the convenient location between Florence, Arezzo, and Siena, airport transfers and public transportation can also be arranged to the area. Should you opt not to rent a car, we have include some information on arriving to Figline Valdarno from Florence, Pisa, and Rome below.

If you plan to fly into Rome and transfer directly to Tuscany, there is one direct train a day from the airport to Florence, departing at 1:50 pm. From the Florence train station, you can easily transfer to Figline Valdarno. Alternatively, there are numerous trains from downtown Rome to Figline Valdarno.. There are so many things to do in the area it would be impossible to list everything, but we have included some of our favorite activities.
The Chianti region is most famous for their wine, cuisine, biking, and medieval villages.

If you are planning to travel before the wedding there are two major events happening in the region:
- The 111th edition of the Tour de France will start from Florence on Saturday, 29 June in a historic first for the Grande Boucle
- The Palio di Siena, which is a very famous horse race held twice each year, will take place on July 2

Below are a few other recommendations for the area:

Explore Figline Valdarno's historic center: Figline Valdarno is a town rich in history and culture that has roots that date back to the Etruscan era. The historic center is full of Romanesque churches, museums, medieval architecture, and historical monuments.

Enjoy lunch at Ristorante La Casavecchia or Farm Shop Pizzeria di Sting e Trudie. Please note that many wineries in Italy need tasting reservations and do not accept walk-ins. Contact the hotel to help arrange any visits! If you are heading towards Greve and are interested in wine a great option is visiting Enoteca Falorni in the town center, it is the largest enoteca in Tuscany featuring over 1,000 selected wines with more than 100 wines available for tasting!

Drive the famous 'La Chiantigiana' road which is a long winding road through rolling hills, vineyards, and ancient villages, voted one of the most enchanting roads in Europe. There are many notable places to stop along the way. Some of the bride and grooms favorite activities include visiting vineyards around Greve, walking around the medieval village of Montefioralle, having lunch at Ristoro di Lamole in Lamole, and visiting one of Dario Cecchini's famous butcheries in Panzano.
